seattle she is the world upside down in a bead of rain. she is the gravity that pulls it from its root. honest as a photograph and grey as the skies she was born beneath. seattle is far from flashy. her memories of childhood (four years stale) are coastal, punctuated by pines and sharp mountain peaks. her feet most often tough foreign turf, especially the red dirt of dry desert terrain. her remarkable fondness for mesas can only be described as an aquired taste.
seattle is sensitive; the atmosphere in which she moves moves the atmosphere in her. behind the bone cage of her ribs sits a mirror for the weather. prone and soft, she is dark inside during the thick of winter and a peaceful wash of pastel under a pre-dusk soft orange sky. rarely does seattle raise her voice. when she does it is most commonly a side effect of excitement, not rage.
the quarter horse mare is often interpreted as being of shorter stature than her factual fifteen hands. slender is not an applicable adjective, though her feet are relatively petite, much to her chagrin. with ample cheeks and bayleaf ears, her face is refined and comely, if somewhat on the plain side. she was made for anonymous sidewalk situations and being easily forgotten.
